*The Fighting Machine stumbles off back to its point behind the bridge and then sinks back down into the ground. By the time Keab and Charlie run to the area behind the bridge there is no sign of it.*

Keab: "Hmmm, oh well, at least that's out of the way now..."
Charlie: "I guess I'd better peel that Cyber-Thing off my tower."

*The Cyber-Kings arm falls off.*

Chris: "OI! That nearly fell on me!"

*As work crews repair the damage to Scratchwood Town, nobody notices BR engineers extending the coverage of the Teleport Inhibitors to the rest of the town and the Midland Tower*

BR Overseer (peering at a map of the town: At least now we'll see some profit from this station, 'stead of all that damned teleporting.

*Derek is trundling along the pavement by the Midland Tower when he finds his way blocked by a group of angry looking youths carrying signs with such slogans as: "C&X Sellout" and "Charlie a Scratchwood Traitor".*

Derek: "UN-ABLE TO PRO-CEED DUE TO HU-MAN IM-PED-I-MENT! PLEASE RE-MOVE YOUR-SELF FROM THIS VI-CIN-ITY!!"

Angry Man: "Nah, innit, we're gonna stay here until that rich snob gets out 'ere and says sorry for selling us out!"
Angry mob: "Yeah!"
Derek: "RICH SNOB?"
Angry Man: "Yeah, that Charlie guy, head of Crass and Excrement!"
Derek: "AAH, THAT FOOT-BALL BAS-TARD!"
Angry Man: "You calling me names Pepperpot?!"
Derek: "POT KETTLE BLACK BAS-TARD!!"

Angry Mob: "Hell no! We won't go!"

*Several police cars turn up, Derek beats a hasty retreat.*

*The LED Screens that surrond the Midland Tower entrance say that Charlie wanted to sell up due to board pressure, that the newbies will be better than him and that he'd rather kill himself than buy a rival team.*

Angry Man #1: Shall we go?
Angry Man #2: I was just about to go home for dinner anyway.
Angry Man #1: Jesus.
Angry Man #3: I'm still angry, so I'm staying.
Angry Man #1: I reckon that's a good enough explaniation. I'm going home.
*Most of the 1,000 or so ultras leave save for the odd 20 nutters still angry. Some of the police cars leave, with one or two staying behind.*

C&X Staffmember (tied up to a chair): Can I go home now?
Angry Man #3: No!
Angry Man #1: Go on...
Angry Man #3: I ain't listening to you, quitter!
Angry Man #1: Oh shut up and stop protesting a futile cause!
*The first one unties the person held-up, and the 3rd one can only stare in disbelief, before turning and carrying on protesting.*

*The streets of Scratchwood are quiet. Yet all around are crowds of people, wandering around aimlessly, groaning. A group of people walk around the corner...*

Sean: Where's the safest place we can go?

Danny: I dunno... pub?

Sean: Better idea...

*Sean looks up the hill towards the station, about a mile away.*

Sean: Let's go there...

*The crowd spots the group and starts running towards them.*

Sean: Uh... run!

*They run away towards the station.*

*Outside a clothing store in Scratchwood*

Electricfox: "Why, oh why did you let Balowski talk you into buying his old car?"
Keab: "It was cheap!"
Electricfox: "And ex-Soviet junk!!"
Domino: "Come on boys, this isn't an episode of Top Gear!"

*They enter the clothing shop, drawing a bit of attention to themselves as they open up a door to the store room and then enter it. Once inside they descend on a hidden lift into Torchwood Four itself.*

Sparrow: "Oh look who it is, the three musketeers."
Domino: "Shut up Sparrow."
Sparrow: "What the hell happened to you?"
Electricfox: "A bomb."
Sparrow: "A bomb? From who?"
Electricfox: "No clue, but considering it went off after we found some disturbance on the frequency of 456 then I'd say it has something to do with that."
Sparrow: "456? Shall I get our receivers to tune into it?"
Electricfox: "No...no...let them think they blew us up, if they try again then we know they're watching us from very close."
Domino: "If we're still alive to make that conclusion...."
Electricfox: "Oh ye of little faith. Right, Sparrow, call up UNIT archives go as deep as you can and look up the numbers four, five and six."
Sparrow: "Won't that alert them too?"
Electricfox: "UNIT? They're on our side...at least...I hope they are."

*Electricfox sits typing on his laptop, when Domino walks in and switches on the television, on it is the explosion in Cardiff bay.*

Electricfox: "Yowzers...that's a big bang...Three?"
Domino: "Comms lockdown, can't get a bloody word out of the place...but given what happened to us at the lab..."
Electricfox: "Yeah...SPARROW!!!"

*Sparrow enters.*

Sparrow: "You rang?"
Electricfox: "Sweep the base for all explosive devices, NOW!"

*Sparrow looks at the television, sees the crater that was Torchwood Three, gulps and quickly runs away.*

*Sparrow runs back in, a bit breathless*

Sparrow: "Scans are clear."
Electricfox: "Thank god for that, right well, I've had activity on the network from Three, so they're obviously still in action thank god, they seem to have some chap from an incident in 1965, and they've done a spot of searching for some random folks which were agents in that era. With that in mind...it seems that whatever is controlling these children and supposedly arriving today, has been here before."
Domino: "Bit of a mental leap, but yeah, I'll go with that."
Electricfox: "Then why is it not on our records?!"
Sparrow: "Probably for the same reason that Keabs lab was blown up, someone wants us out of the way."
Electricfox: "But why? Why draw that kind of attention?"

*Keab runs in*
Keab: "456 is transmitting again!"

*Domino turns on the television and sees the pillar of fire descend on London.*

Electricfox: "Jesus...did I just see that right?"
Domino: "I saw it too..."
Sparrow: "Whoa..."
Electricfox: "Did our satellites pick up anything?!"
Keab: "Not a whisper..."
Electricfox: "....my god..."

*Electricfox stands up and picks his pistol up from his desk.*

Electricfox: "Right, buckle up, we're going to London. That's where it's going down, and that's where we're going to be."
Domino: "But they're already there...how will we get there in time?"
Electricfox: "Keab...do you still have that prototype of yours you used a while back to get to London in a hurry?"
Keab: "You mean the one that beardy stole and I had to steal back from him...yeah? Why? ....oh..."

*Domino frowns.*

Domino: "I am NOT travelling in ANYTHING he built!!"
Keab: "Why ever not?"
Domino: "Because they have a habit of exploding!!"
Electricfox: "I'd fly us there but...it's too risky if we've got someone after us. Shit...I just thought..."
Sparrow: "What?"
Electricfox: "If they're after us, they might go after the people we associate with...Matt, Charlie, Derek and Balowski...they could be in trouble."
Keab: "We'd better get going then!"

*They walk down a series of tunnels and onto a small electric train which takes them the short distance outside the town to the army base which Balowski's Bad Russian Accent Brigade occupies, after greeting the guards on duty, they walk upstairs to the railway line. Sitting in the shed is a curious looking device, almost like a rocket on wheels with a small cab at the front and a passenger section behind it.*

Electricfox: "You'd better drive Keab, you know this thing better than me."
Keab: "Alright...just make sure you buckle up tight...don't want to get injured now."
Domino: "You know...I might just feel better flying..."
Sparrow: "Sod this...I'll stay here."
Keab: "What?!"
Electricfox: "Fine, fine, Domino and Sparrow you stay here and keep us updated...just watch yourselves!"
Domino: "We'll be fine...so long as he keeps his hands to himself!!"

*Sparrow who was just about to put his arm around Dominos waist quickly withdraws it.*

*Keab climbs into the cab and puts a crash helmet on before buckling himself up and activating the engine which whines as it spools up. Electricfox buckles himself in and puts on his crash helmet, looking a little disturbed when he finds a fire extinguisher under his feet, even more so when he shakes it slightly and finds it empty.*

Keab: "Ok...here we go!"

*Keab applies forward gear and accelerates slowly out of the shed, and down towards the main line.*
