Charlie: "Day of the what?"
Electricfox: "It's a novel by...never mind."
Matt: "Well, what do we do now?"
Electricfox: "Hmmm, the snag with Zombie apocalypses is that they usually are pretty irreversable unless quashed in the opening stages. If we could find out whether this is a global epidemic or just a local one that would help us plot out some kind of response to this..."

Electricfox: Hello? Yes... yes... please stop screaming for help, and just answer one question! Are the Zombies just in Scratchwood or is this global? Uh huh... right... hello?

*He hangs up*

Matt: Well?
Electricfox: Well, all he had to say was "Oh god, please help us. Stop asking me stupid questions you madman, just for god sake help us. Argh."
Matt: My god... that poor man... torn apart by zombies.
Electricfox: No, he was a cold caller from Powergen. At least one of their employees goes mad like that and rings for help every couple of days.
Matt: So that wasn't at all relevant?
Electricfox: Well it tells us the zombies haven't reached the powergen offices in london, so we can assume this is pretty localised. Which is a start.

Balowski: Greetings komrade DieselFox.
Electricfox: Yes, hello to you too Balowski. What do you want?
Balowski: I am witenssing the news on the television komrade of an epidemic of the dead people in Scratchyvood. Again. Only zis time, they be walking!
Electricfox: Yes, we're currently under siege from the bastards. Where are you?
Balowski: I am in a TV shop somewhere in London.
Electricfox: And?
Balowski: Do not fear komrade. All is well in London, it's jsut Scratchwood where everythings wrong. For now at least.
Electricfox: Ok. Thank you.
Balowski: No vorries. Bye bye now.

*The call ends.*

Electricfox: Well, that was a waste of time.
*A mobile call in the corner ends*
Charlie: Sorry, I was just calling C&X Control.
Electricfox: What's there news?
Charlie: Zombies exclusive to Scratchwood. The Army is currently setting up a blockade.
Electricfox: Just like the War of the Worlds?
Charlie: A bit like that, yeah.
Electricfox: But its effectively sealing us in with the threat.
Charlie: I know this.
Electricfox: Well, we do now know it is localised. Which is a start.
Matt: Where's Derek?
Electricfox: That pepperpot? Who knows?

Electricfox: "Well, that's good news, all we have to do is to get out of Scratchwood!"
Matt: "Huh?"
Electricfox: "Well, typical army response is to evacuate the living and then destroy the dead."
Matt: "Riiight..."
Electricfox: "Yes, although they'll have to go street to street to do so."
Charlie: "Why not just bomb the place?"
Electricfox: "Explosives won't work, you see the average bomb works on the disruption of the synapses caused by shellshock, as well as the liquidification of the internal organs caused by the shockwave. With a Zed though, since they're already dead, they will just keep coming. A Zed can lose his legs but will crawl forward, no matter what, his want for human flesh will override everything."
Charlie: "How do you know so much about zombies?"
Electricfox: "Max Brooks..."
Matt: "Oh?"
Electricfox: "It's in the library at Torchwood. World War Z and The Zombie Survival Guide. Only read WWZ though, and thankfully this isn't anywhere near as apocalyptic as that."
Matt: "So, it's kinda like that bird-flu outbreak, keep it contained and then kill it off."
Electricfox: "Yeah, only instead of the slight risk of getting the sniffles from a sneezing bird, there's a definate risk of getting your arm bitten off by a Zed-head."
Charlie: "Which brings us back to stage one, what do we do now?"
Electricfox: "Well, Derek would be a good bet, but where is he?"
Dhall: "Erm...I think that's him down there on the track?"
Matt: "Oh yeah! But, he's on his side..."
Electricfox: "Oh great...so we've got to get to him to get him upright..."
Matt: "Through those zombies?"
Electricfox: "Yeah...so...erm...any thoughts?"

*Charlie opens a violin case and picks up an Italian mafia sub-machine gun.*
Electricfox: Where did you get that from?
Charlie: My leaving present from Don Corleone. He still owes me.
Electricfox: The Godfather of New York? What does he owe you?
Charlie: What's important is winning against the dead.
Matt: You guys go ahead. I'll go... man the signals.
Electricfox: You? A signalman? Hah!
Matt: Oh yeah...
*Matt pulls a lever.*
Electricfox: No, you shouldn't have pulled...
*There's a crash noise just down the line.*
Electricfox: That one.
Derek: OW! THAT HURT! YOU BAS-TARDS! WHY ARE YOU STILL LEA-VING ME LY-ING HERE?!?

*A Liverpool-London express has crashed into Derek. Derek has been closer to the signalbox and closer to being upright, but to still on his side. The train meanwhile has derailed, the front of the loco crumpled.*
Charlie: Well... least he's closer.
*The gantry has become extremely crowded and quite a few zombies have fallen over the end.*

Balowski: Wotever komrade. I wish to speak to ze komrade ElectricalCat komrade.
Matt: Oh, him.
*Electricfox nicks the phone.*
Electricfox: Sorry, now's not the ti...
Balowski: Komrade NuclearFox! You are still alive! Praise ze lord!
Electricfox: When do you plan to rescue us again? We're still here you forgetful muppet.
Balowski: We have hit a slight hitch in our plan komrade.
Electricfox: What?
Balowski: It appears quite a fair amount of soldiers were bitten during our siege on the station. They are now zombies and we are currently fighting them.
*A trigger can be heard.*
Balowski: *to zombie* Die you capitalistic reanimated pigdog! *back on phone* We should be at signalbox soon komrade.

Electricfox: Oh. Ok... so what's the problem?
Balowski: Have you seen ze news komrade? Have you heard about zis swine flu? Mexicans are dropping like flies! It's an Amerikan plot to wipe us all out!
Electricfox *sighing*: Balowski, Balowski, Balowski... the world and in particular the United Kingdom has a stockpile of flu remedies and the cases so far are being well isolated. As long as you don't travel to Mexico and southern states of the USA, you'll be fine.
