*Keab42 runs in and barricades the door with a jet pack*

Keab42: Holy Toast! need something to stop the Holy Toast!

*starts rummaging through piles of equipment*

Keab42: "Ah, it was nothing, just an accident firing discharge..."
Electricfox: "Hmmm...anyway, I need something to get Balowski out of America and fast."
Keab42: "Balowski is in America?"
Electricfox: "Yes...apparently he took a Eurofighter over there and collided with a US jet."
Keab42: "This does sound like Balowski..."
Electricfox: "Quite...so...do you have anything that'll get this job done quickly so I can get back to signalling the trains around our broken south junction?"
Keab42: "Now...let me see..."

*Charlie arrives in a rail access siding hauling the 47 and a MK2 recovered from the crash site.*

Electricfox: Was that the carriage embedded in the resturant?
Charlie: Yea. Why?
Electricfox: I can see why now... what are they doing here?
Charlie: I got a call from Keab to tow them here before I take them over to Carl's Yard.
*The New Measurement HST set passes by on it's way from Newcastle to Weymouth, passing by in a flash of yellow. Conversely, the old measurement train ofr two Deltics and 4 MK2's pass by on the way from London Euston to York.*

Charlie: Wow... more yellow than an episode of the Simpsons.
Electricfox: Yes, I've been meaning to ask BR if they have any replacement liveries. Anywhere, Keab, how can I get to New York JFK without being seen?
Keab: No. You'll have to ask airport control at JFK or you may have to be diverted into either Newark or LaGuardia.
Electricfox: Crap... okay, then do you have anything that can get me to New York quick?
Keab: No.
Charlie: I may as well tail along.
Electricfox: Why?
Charlie: I have an appointment with a bank over in New York.
Electricfox: *gives suspicious glances* Okay then.
Keab: Right... ah. I have a rocket/supersonic aircraft. It's perfectly safe and sound and will take just 1 hour 55 minutes to get to New York.
Electricfox: How do you know it's safe?
Keab: Tim took one over to Moscow.
Electricfox: Okay.
Charlie: I'll be off know.
Electricfox: Huh? Oh. Bye.

*Charlie brings out a phone as he walks out of the lab.*
Charlie: Is this Citigroup? Excellent. We can proceed takeover discussions soon when I arrive in New York.

*As Charlie leave Electricfox gets distracted by something shiny in one corner of the lab*

Keab42: Do pay attention Electricfox, I'm trying to demonstrate the controls of the jet, they're very sensitive...
Electricfox: Wot dis?
Keab42: That's my experimental transporter, try not to break it!
Electricfox: Transporter?
Keab42: Yes. but power limitations mean it's operational range is enough to get me to the cafe and back.
Electricfox: So that's why the lights flicker whenever you appear.
Keab42: Err no, that's just dramatic effect. Honest!
Electricfox: So we can't use this to get me to America?
Keab42: there's not enough power in the world to make it reach that far.
Electricfox: In this world. What about the on through that rift on platform 3?
Keab42: Hmm, it might work, but there will be no way of scaling the power output.

*Keab42 does some calculations on a computer*

Keab42: Somewhat conveniently it will put you down within a mile of Balowski's location.
Electricfox: Excellent, will there be enough power to bring us both back.
Keab42: Technically, yes.
Electricfox: Fantastic. What do I do?
Keab42: Step this way...

*Electricfox steps onto the circular platform. Keab42 removes some paperwork, several cups of coffee and pizza boxes from a console*

Electricfox: Wish me luck!

*Keab42 presses some buttons on the console and Electricfox disappears in a flash of green light*

Keab42: Of course I've never tested this on more than one subject...

*Keab42 answers his phone*

Electricfox: "Keab...beam us back now, before the CIA realise what I've just done..."

*Presses another button on his console, there is a heliotrope flash and Balowski and Electricfox appear on the pad*

Keab42: Wow, it worked!
Electricfox: what do you mean, "wow"?
Keab42: errr.... I mean, of course it worked, why wouldn't it?

*Electricfox looks suspicious, however he is distracted as the lights suddenly fail and a loud crackling sound can be heard coming from the direction of the town centre*

*The ground shakes violently as Keab, Electricfox and Balowski run outside in time to see a large explosion rip through the Midland Tower in Scratchwood Town.*

Electricfox: "What the hell?"
Balowski: "The Americans have followed us! They are attacking!!"
Electricfox: "Shut up Balowski! Keab! What is that?!"
Keab: "Looks like a fracture line in the space-time continuum."
Electricfox: "In English?!"
Keab: "The rift on platform three has fractured, and a fracture line hit that tower...but it shouldn't have reacted like that..."
Electricfox: "What do you mean?"

*Another explosion rocks the Midland Tower.*

Keab: "I mean, there must have been something inside that tower for the rift to react to!"
Electricfox: "Can we shut it down?"
Keab: "Not easily...we'd need to put a large mass at high speed impact into the rift, making the fracture seal itself and then collapse."

*Part of the top of the Midland Tower collapses onto the streets below.*

Electricfox: "Well it looks like an evacuation has begun...look, there goes a couple of buses...and helicopters are coming in..."
Keab: "It will not matter...depending on what is in that tower, it might be enough to take out the entire town...plus the station!"
Electricfox: "Well...we'd better stop it then!"

*The three run towards the station.*

Keab42: Ah Electricfox what can I do for you?
Electricfox: Charlie. Evil. Weapons. Now!
Keab42: emergency weapons locker is over there. You'll find the targeting beacon for the Orbital ion cannon, a chameleon shield and a personal low-powered Dalek gun.
*Electricfox rummages in the cupboard*
Electricfox: And a Dalek plunger too!
Keab42: err, No. I just need to unclog my sink...
Keab42: anything else will have to be made specially. Now why do you need to kill Charlie?

Charlie: There's no need for all this killing.
Electricfox: You! What do you have for this?!
Charlie: Nothing. In fact, the reason I came to Scratchwood is all why you have done.
Electricfox: Huh?
Charlie: You are staring at the Agent who Ran Away. The hole in Torchwood folklore and he's standing right in front of you.
Electricfox: Ah. Right, I didn't think of that...
Charlie: He also is the chairman of the Class&Xcellence Group, or C&X as you know them.
Electricfox: You? Pah! How can you have done all this under our noses?!
Charlie: A little help from Prime Minister Harold Saxon.
Electricfox: I thought he left.
Charlie: Labour had decided he had a bigger ambition than Gordon Brown.
Electricfox: Makes sense, but what have you stored under the tower?
Charlie: This may surprise you...
Electricfox: Like you haven't enough...
Charlie: But the rift stuff is energisation capsules bought from an auction in Derby. It converts the rift energy into safe fuel for the whole town.
Electricfox: So that's why there's a substation near the tower... but that doesn't explain the railways effect...
Charlie: When I ran from Torchwood, I arrived at Scratchwood. I saw the station with it's mad charcaters and thought 'Perfect Cover Job'. I went to the job, then met C&X at Glastonbury 2004 and then took them over 3 weeks ago.

Electricfox: You still haven't explained it well...
Charlie: Terribly sorry old chap... but I am here to hide my involvement.
Electricfox: You couldn't do well, your listed on the London, Paris and New York Stock Exchanges!
Charlie: I keep a low profile...
Electricfox: I suppose that's a benefit. How and why have you taken over GNER?
Charlie: You've wanted BR returning. I have the cash and government ontacts to purchase all the 17 rail operations and make my own network to run Britian.
Electricfox: While I am pleased at the creation of a new BR, I am still cross that you have this worldwide organisation that doesn't know what they're dealing with...
Charlie: I'm in control of what I'm doing, and anyway, I know this rift energy can be used to an advantage to give me the riches and pride of being ruler or Earth. With you as one of the Lords.
Electricfox: I... er, Earth Lord?
Charlie: Yes, you get to rule part of the world. Are you willing to accept?
Electricfox: I don't know...
Charlie: There's no need to kill anyone. Besides, try and kill me and you'll find it hard.
Electricfox: I can always try...

*As Charlie walks down the stairs, Electricfox fires the Dalek-esque gun. Charlie presses a button under his sleeves and the ray disintergrates.*

Charlie: Dalek-style shields, cannibalised from a ruined Dalek that washed off the MSC Napoli in Janurary.
Electricfox: Yes, Torchwood told me to get it but someone beat me to it...
Charlie: I see it was too good to be true.
*Charlie presses a button on his teleport/MP3 player and vanishes.*

Keab: Now I see why... Still wanna go ahead?
Electricfox: Probably...

Electricfox: "Look, I don't want to kill the guy, just take him down so Torchwood can reprogram him."
Keab: " 'Reprogram'?"
Electricfox: "It's probably best you didn't know..."
Keab: "Right..."
Electricfox: "But I made a phone call on the way here...we have backup inbound...lots of it...Torchwood is VERY interested to have a word with Charlie...the infamous agent."
Keab: "I'll bet...so...what's coming?"

*A giant purple foot stomps through the ceiling, crushing a Virgin Voyager.*

Keab: "I just had to ask..."
Domino: "You called?!"
Sky: "Kweh!"

*Electricfox opens a PDA in his pocket and types in a few keys.*

Electricfox: "Charlie is not the only one who has some fancy toys..."

*The ground shakes violently and Electricfox rushes outside.*

Charlie: I think I may have hit the jackpot...
*Finds a laptop Keab left on with controls for the monsters hunting me down.*
Charlie: Let's see... press that button there...
*The Torchwood One Fighting Machine suddenly powers down and collapses over the edge of the railway bridge and into the River Scratch, Electricfox have jumped out and landed in a park built by the river.*
Charlie: Excellent...
Computer: Unauthorised user. Enter password for continuation.
Charlie: Let's see...
*Searching through a three ring-binder, Charlie finds the password is 'Torchwood'.*
Charlie: Convenient...

*Charlie punches Torchwood into the computer and sees what happens...*
Computer: Access granted.
Charlie: Now to continue...
*Presses more buttons. The King Leviathan suddenly collapses back into the pit where the track through platform 8 and the platform itself were stood. Keab comes out the access door looking confused.*
Charlie: Two down...
*Quickly turns attention to the Genosaurer.*
Charlie: ... one to go.
*Charlie presses another button.*

Charlie: I think we're nearly done with a clear victory for me...
*Charlie press two more buttons, and the Genosaurer falls backwards on top of the chav prison. Domino, looking dazed and confused, comes out as chavs run out of the prison.*
Charlie: Oh dear... Just where I didn't want it to land...

*While leaving, Charlie comes across a document Electricfox filled in.*
Charlie: What's this?
*Charlie picks up the document. It details that Charlie is to be sent for reprogramming and retconning.*
Charlie: That's just what I was dreading... all for a company which, without, Torchwood would be bankrupt...
*Charlie throws it away, the view in front of the camera reads 'Reprogramming - Insertion of a chip into the brain which wipes memory of Torchwood.'*

Charlie: And all I did was expand a worldwide business.
*Walks to the observation galley, looking at the Midland Tower.*
Charlie: I think I should hide in the core, it's resistant to pretty much everything.
*Picks up a computer with profile on Billozz - a mineral material exclusively mined by C&X in a quarry just outside Newcastle-upon-Tyne which is resitant to 1 billion degress centigrade of fire, earthquake, chemical weaponry, cutting tools, nuclear weaponry, gunfire, shells and flooding among others.*
Charlie: Perfect.

*Watches as a Class 91 passes by on an Edinburgh - Kings Cross service, as Charlie ponders over his plans to unifiy the 20 British rail operators.*

*Walks along the tracks until he reaches the siding that is his Lab*

Keab42: Ooh good the roof is back on!

*Keab42 wanders inside and starts brushing dust and glass fragments off the tops of piles of equipment until he finds a tin of paint*

*returns to the outside of the building with the tin of paint and a step ladder*

*Over the blast doors separating the interior of his experimental vehicles shed Keab42 begins to paint a series of letters*

Keab42: D-E-U-S E-X M-A-C-H-I-N-A !

*Keab42 notices that one of his warning signs has been dislodged, he props this back up against the wall*

Sign: Trespassers will be experimented upon, Fired at, and then handed over to the Dalek at the station!
