*Matt watches the Dalek saucer take off from above the MPD and vanish.*

Matt: GODDAMMIT THEY DIDN'T FINISH THE JOB! Slackers. Last time I ever trust red, white and blue Daleks. Our good old goldy-green one is much better... wonder if he's returned now the newbies have gone.

*Electricfox and Derek promptly enter the cafe.*

Matt: Ah good, a reliable Dalek.
Derek: THOSE GLAM-ROCK BAS-TARDS RAN A-WAY AT THE SIGHT OF THE MO-DI-FIED SPIT-FIRE AERO-PLANE!
Electricfox: Indeed. It was a simple hop really - returned from Toronto with Derek, succesfully evaded the Mighty Morfin' Power Daleks and am home in time for tea.
Derek: AND THE GOOD NEWS IS EVE-RY-ONE'S BEEN TOO OC-CU-PIED TO CALL ME A PE-PPER-POT!
Customer: Hey, there's no salt in the shaker.
Derek: THAT IS ALSO RA-CIST TER-MI-NOLO-GY! EX-TER-MI-NATE!

*Derek promptly kills said customer.*

Matt: You know I really wish you didn't do that sometimes.
Derek: AND YOU KNOW MY O-PIN-ION OF RA-CIST BAS-TARDS! IT SEEMS THE NEW GLAM-ROCK DA-LEK BAS-TARDS FEEL THE SAME ABOUT THE PH-RASE "MIGHTY MORFIN' POWER DALEKS!"
Matt: Well, yes, they did look that way.
Electricfox: Anyway, can you get me a drink? Just cross 6 time-zones - it dis-orients you a little.
Matt: Coming right up. Just leave the contents of your wallet on the counter there.

*Matt can be seen collecting food from his storage bay. Unseen to him, a crack can be seen in the storage bay underneath the main cafe building. The crack appears to be shining, as if its the gateway to another dimension.*

Charlie: Matt, I think you're losing your mind again - there is no Derek and never was.
Matt: No... no... I perfectly remember him. He landed here 6 years ago and cleans and does security.
Charlie: Cleaning? Since 4 years ago there hasn't been any.
Matt: I'm sure there was a Derek. No, I'm 100% sure there is still a Derek.
Charlie: Matt... I think you need a lie down and forget all about this. Then you'll see the truth.
Matt: But I can see the truth now! Why can't you see it?
Charlie: ... I think I'm going to be quiet now and go back to my... I don't know what food this is.
Matt: Hey! I'll have you know its prime beef!
Charlie: Have you actually killed the cow?

*The crack meanwhile is still glowing behind the counter, invisible to all.*

Matt: I said go and clean the platforms! Pepperpot! Oi! You're a useless bucket of bolts and alien goo! ...you're my only true friend...

*Charlie and Electricfox watch with concern.*

Charlie: I think we need to get Matt some professional help.

Charlie: I've seen ghost towns with more life.
Electricfox: Well, that's what happens when the track is dug up by BR for replacement only to forget to put it back in.

*Outside a mountain of track waiting to be relaid is in between and on platforms 2, 3 and 4. Only one platform is in use for the Scratchwood Junction - Birmingham New Street services.*
